Nothing stirs the imagination like a clear night sky. It won't be hard for visitors to locate other star party goers at the SouthWest Science Center. They'll follow the line of celestial objects radiating out from the Sun at the center plaza to the star party site. At the outermost edge is Pluto, its planetary status still a source of passionate debate.
Pictured here is the star party area against a hugely (and most unscientifically) magnified photo of Comet Hale-Bopp, dubbed the Great Comet of 1997. Pluto is at center front.
