Learn more about the AIA, including information about working with an architect at www.aia.org.
The American Institute of Architects or AIA was established in 1857. More than a licensing and governing body for architects, the AIA deals with real-life issues that affect the way we live, from designing livable communities to historic preservation and summer education programs for high school students. The AIA disaster assistance program is a valuable aid for architects helping communities recover from the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina and other natural disasters.
